This is my spooky trees assignment. It is a gathering of a bunch of different trees that are lighter in the back, and darker in the front by which I used paint. One new skill I learned from doing this art project was how to start painting from the back to the front, instead of painting from the front to back. The main art and design elements are value, contrast, emphasis, and colors. The main feeling of this art piece is fright, because I did not use much bright colors and it looks as if you are in a spooky setting.
This is my dreamtime photo, which describes a feeling of joy and overcoming a fear. I used waves to show how a wave represents washing away the past and represents living a life with joy. I learned how to add feeling to a painting and now paint a specific thing, but a feeling. The main art elements are color, lines and pattern. I used the pattern of swirls and dots to show the swirling as a life changing in front of my eyes. The mood should be peace because the main purpose of the painting is to show overcoming a challenge and confidence in yourself.
This is my beautiful flower print with an orange flower and a blue background. There is a variety in lines used to create the complete picture. I used a carving block to create this image and carved this image of the flower. One new skill I learned was how to use different types of lines such as crosshatch. The main art elects are lines, color and pattern. This art piece expresses a joyful feeling.
This is my flower ink drawing. I used ink to draw a flower composed of 3 different types of lines. It is composed of parallel lines, cross hatching, and stippling. These 3 lines are a new skill I learned, and also learned that the cross hatching makes the image darker, stippling makes it the lightest, and parallel lines give it a medium shade. The main art elements are edge, lines, and value. It has a high contrast which gives the image a dramatic feel.
This is a self portrait of myself. The image represents myself and all of the features on my face I have. A new skill I learned was how to shadow the face to create a 3d effect. The main art elements are proportion and size, color, space, contrast and movement.
This is my watercolor painting of a leaf. I used paints and pencils to create this painting. I learned how to use complimentary colors in my paining, such as using the green and the Orange from the leaves in the painting. The main art elements are color, space, proportion and scale, and unity/harmony. You notice the color in the leaves of the drawing, and space used to create movement. The leaves are proportionate to one another and go together in unity.
this is my leaf painting. I used watercolor to paint each of the leaves. What I learned from this project is to add layers to each of the leaves. You have to start with lighter colors then add darker layers. The mood of this painting is calming, and looks like leaves you would see laying around in fall. The art elements are color, form and proportion/ size.
this is my individual hallway drawing of the main hallway. What I learned from this drawing is how to use the vanishing point to draw each of the objects. I also learned how to use value in my hallway drawing as well. My picture shows proportion and size by how the objects go from smaller In the back to larger in the front. I used pencil to shade the objects in my drawing. Those elements are important because the give it a very realistic view of what the hallway actually looks like.
This is my interior room drawing of a living room. It shows a lot of value as you can see from outside the window. If you look at the furniture, you can see great proportions of how they are supposed to be. What i learned is how to use the vanishing point to make the awesome checkered rug. The vanishing point is a great tool to make sure all your items and landscape is perfectly done.
